Verifications of employment may be obtained using three different methods. The most efficient method is to use The Work Number from Equifax service: www.theworknumber.com. 

If you are working with a vendor, lender or other entity and depending upon the type of verification being requested verifications of employment typically are processed within five (5) to fifteen (15) work days of receipt. The reason for this processing timeline is that verifications can often take up to one hour per request; the volume of requests and the complexity of the verification requested determine the length of the processing time. 

The Work Number from Equifax service is the most efficient method to obtain a verification of your employment.

To obtain a written employment verification, there are two methods to send your form:

• Scan and email your document to [email protected].
• OR
• Mail your document to Human Resource Services Division, 4100 Normal St., San Diego, CA 92103

To obtain a verbal employment verification:

• Please call 619.725.8088 for a District employment verification specialist (8am-5pm M-F).
• You will need to leave a message due to the high volume of calls.
