TK 2026-2027 Parent Workshops

Wednesday, January 28 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, January 29 10-11 a.m.

https://sandiegounified.zoom.us/j/81378374938

This one-hour Zoom workshop is exclusively about TK enrollment – you’ll learn how the online enrollment process works, how Choice may factor in for some families, what happens if your school of residence is full, and the priority rules for TK placement. We’ll also answer common questions (like TK age requirements) and save time for live Q&A.

Can’t attend live? The presentation will be posted to the TK Enrollment website afterward for families to reference.

Welcome to Transitional Kindergarten (TK) – your child’s first stop in their educational journey at San Diego Unified! TK is a free, full-day of school, part of a two-year kindergarten program that sets your child up for success. Investing in early education gives children the confidence and skills they need to excel throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Enroll in TK

Give your child the gift of early learning—enroll in TK today and watch them thrive!

Children turning 4 years old by September 1, 2025, are eligible. Enroll your child at your neighborhood school by submitting the required documents online. If your neighborhood school reaches capacity, the district will assist in finding placement at a nearby school with available space. Classes are capped at 20 students, and each class will have two teachers.
